The Trip of a Lifetime - A Travel Journal
Some of my favorite photos are taken when life is just happening. I typically always have my camera with me and often tend to see a good shot in otherwise “normal” situations. One note: yes, that was me driving the red convertible, yes, I did get a ticket, yes, the cop did think I was nuts, and yes, it is simply the small price you pay for having a cool sports car. The story of my St. Christopher medal: When I went to Nepal in 1998 to trek to the base of Everest at 17, 500, my mother gave me this St. Christopher to keep me safe. I had traveled a lot before, but this was the first time I had done anything that dangerous. I then started wearing then pendant whenever I traveled, which I defined as “getting into an airplane to go someplace other than to visit family and friends”. Then I realized that life is really the journey, so now I just wear it all the time. I figured you could never be too safe!!! I wish I could get frequent flyer miles for my St. Christopher – he has been to a lot of places!!! |
