On the Road Again... ITALY
| Journal Entry: Italy 2006 Day 5, Strove: After our stressful nighttime drive from Rome (didn’t think about the fact that we couldn’t read the rode signs), our first day in Tuscany was magnificent. This place looks just like in the movies – I swear that if I found a rundown villa for sale I would buy it and live like the Diane Lane in Over the Tuscan Sun. We drove an out of the way castle and found a small, rocky staircase that led into a small chapel (or grave - who knows. We can’t read any of the signs.) There was this large ornate cross and the sun was gleaming in through a small-gated window, casting an eerie shadow – like a ghost or something. I took a few shots without my flash. Can’t wait to see how they turn out!!! Not sure how long we can stay in Tuscany – we want to head up north to through Florence and Pisa to Cinque Terre. |
